On 20/10/2015, a seminar for student on topic “ Market and the role of government in economy” was held by the Faculty of Economics in room A.114 of UEL. Dr Huynh The Du from Fulbright Economics Teaching Program is the speaker of the seminar. This seminar attracted participation of nearly 200 students from FE and lecturers from other faculties. In the seminar, Dr Huynh The Du presented basic knowledge about the market and the role of government in adjusting market failures. Dr Huynh The Du also answered a lot of questions from the students and the lecturer. The students had high appreciation about the seminar and hope that FE could hold more and more useful seminar also.
Information about the speaker: Dr. Huynh The Du is a senior lecturer at FETP. His teaching and research interests are urban economics, infrastructure development, and finance and banking. He received a Master in Public Administration from Harvard Kennedy School of Government in 2010 and a Doctor of Design Degree (DDes) from Harvard Graduate School of Design in 2013. His doctoral dissertation title is “The Transformation in Ho Chi Minh City: Issues in Managing Growth”.
