On July 4, 2025, at 1:00 PM, the Department of Economics and Public Management held a seminar titled “Alignment of Course Learning Outcomes in the Training Program.” The seminar was attended by the Faculty Board, the Head of the Department of Economics and Public Management, lecturers from the department, and lecturers from the Department of Economics.

The Head of the Department presented the Program Learning Outcomes (PLOs) for the 2025 training program, reviewing the syllabi for both undergraduate and postgraduate programs. The design of the learning outcomes was distributed across courses, categorized into groups of knowledge, skills, autonomy, and responsibility.
The measurement of course learning outcomes for undergraduate programs began in 2023, while the master’s program started in 2025. The results of the 2023 master’s program course outcome measurements showed a high level of achievement, indicating that the teaching and course delivery by lecturers met the required standards. Based on the measurement of six courses in the master’s program, the department developed a plan to expand the measurement of learning outcomes to more courses for the 2025 master’s and undergraduate programs. The measurement of course learning outcomes, aligned with program learning outcomes, is conducted annually across semesters using standardized templates provided by the Testing and Quality Assurance Office.
Lecturers from the department shared their experiences in designing assessments to measure course learning outcomes and provided suggestions for improving both program and course learning outcomes. The seminar discussions focused on standardizing the tools used for designing and measuring outcomes systematically. Some courses, responsible for multiple PLOs, require review and adjustment during the periodic curriculum evaluation. Measuring learning outcomes related to autonomy and responsibility in practice was noted as particularly challenging, necessitating further research to identify appropriate Performance Indicators (PIs) to meet the PLOs.
The seminar concluded at 4:30 PM.
