Seminar "Should You Switch Jobs?"

In order to equip students from the 2019 cohort with the knowledge and skills after graduation, the Faculty of Economics organized a seminar with the topic expected by many students "Should You Switch Jobs?" at 12:45 PM on Friday, March 31, 2023 at Room A.611, University of Economics and Law, Vietnam National University in Ho Chi Minh City.

The seminar had the participation of Dr. Trinh Hoang Hong Hue - Vice Dean of Faculty, Academic advisor - Master Nguyen Thi Thu Huong, guest speaker Tran Van Nhat - A card business development expert - retail banking sector in Vietnam International Bank (VIB) - An alumnus of the 2010 cohort majoring in Economics, and especially the presence of 130 students in K19401 and K19403 classes.

At the beginning of the seminar, Dr. Trinh Hoang Hong Hue - representative of the Dean of the Faculty of Economics made a couple of statements, which emphasized the important role of the skills that students need to equip themselves with in order to confidently enter the competitive and challenging job market in the upcoming period.

Mr. Tran Van Nhat with the practical experience as a former student navigating various job positions after graduation, shared with students extremely useful knowledge about the following contents:

- Setting career goals after graduation, choosing the appropriate field that aligns with one's academic background and abilities.

- Necessary skills for making informed decisions, contemplating whether to commit to a long-term job or engage in frequent job hopping to seek better employment opportunities.

Following this, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Huong, with her extensive experience in the public sector, also shared with the students the opportunities and challenges of working in this environment. Simultaneously, she provided further guidance on career paths that suit their training majors after graduation.

The students were very excited about the topic and enthusiastically asked many questions to interact with the speakers.

The seminar ended successfully at 14:45 of the same day.
