“Evaluation of the effectiveness of Internship report and Graduation thesis of students from Faculty of Economics” Seminar

On August 1st, 2014, Faculty of Economics – University of Economics and Law has organized seminar: “Evaluation of the effectiveness of internship report and graduation thesis of students from Faculty of Economics”

There were representatives of Board of Rectors (Doctor Le Tuan Loc – Vice Rector), Assoc.Prof. Nguyen Van Luan, Doctor Nguyen Van Bang, Doctor La Xuan Dao, Doctor Nguyen Dinh Huy, MA. Pham Thi Ha Nguyen, together with lecturers, staff and students from Faculty of Economics participated in the seminar.

To begin, Assoc.Prof. Nguyen Chi Hai has stated the main purpose of the seminar was to emphasize the importance of theoretic method, reality and possible solutions to improve the quality of writing internship report as well as graduation thesis of students from faculty of economics in particular and from UEL in general.

After the opening speech, speakers have presented their papers in two sessions with different content. At the first session, speakers gave some specific features of Economics, as well as the role of writing report and graduation thesis in order to show the career orientation and found out some shortcomings still existed through conducting surveys, then came with solutions to enhance the efficiency of this process.

At the second session, the content was mostly about how to do anti-plagiarism and build up evaluation criteria to the report and graduation thesis.

Under the chairmanship of Assoc.Prof. Nguyen Chi Hai, participants gave many different ideas and perspectives. Besides opinions from Faculty of Economics, there were others from many units, both inside and outside the University. Especially, students who has just finished the internship report and graduation thesis also gave comments. The program was very enthusiastic and there were many practical, useful suggestions given out. To conclude the seminar, Assoc.Prof. Nguyen Chi Hai has summarized and appreciated the involvement of the participants.
