In the period from 2021 to 2025, the Faculty of Economics proposes a research orientation focusing on two main changes, responding to the strong changes in global socio-economic life along with the popularity of technological breakthroughs, including: enhancing the diversity and promote interdisciplinary  in research.

There are 7 main research orientations:

1. Regional and economic sector linkages and economic development.

2. Innovation in the economy and competitiveness of Vietnam enterprises.

3. Economics of social issues in Vietnam.

4. Public governance according to sustainable development goals.

5. Agricultural development under climate change conditions.

6. Behavior economic and its application in management and business.

7. Vietnam and global macroeconomics.
