On 22nd July, 2017, Faculty of Economics had hosted the meeting to connect employers and alumni of cohorts from 1 to 12.
The meeting had the presence of more than 10 employers and alumni represented for all cohorts and lecturers of Faculty of Economics. FE’s alumni have been in charge of many positions in various fields of economy: State management agencies at many levels, private companies, invested enterprises, banks…
At the meeting, Head of FE had provided information relevant to FE and Bachelor of Economics and Public Management. Besides that, Mr. Hai also introduced AUN – QA, some achievements of official assessment of Bachelor of Economics in 2016 and plan for BEPM assessment in 2017
More importantly, FE had received contributions of employers, alumni to training activities orientation of BEPM, sharing about the major and support the FE in jobs, internship and extra-curricular activities
Ms. Nguyen Thi Hanh, alumni cohort 1 who is working at Office for poverty reduction in Hochiminh City shared: “I am so proud to be the alumni of BEPM. In my company, my consultants about policy have been high – evaluated from managers”
Representing for alumni of cohort 7, Mr. Nguyen Minh Tan said: “The knowledge and skills that I accumulated in the FE helped me got a good job and appropriate with my strength at Youth Office of Binh Duong
Mr. Pham Hong Dat – Officer at Human resources Department of Petroleum Transportation Joint Stock Corporation shared some crucial requirements for candidates, alterations compared to the past. He also emphasized that lifelong self-study skill is vital for people to adapt in new changing global environment.
The cozy meeting closed but it opened the door of connection, sharing spirit and dedication of not only alumni but employers to the development of FE. The idea about a bigger meeting in 2018 has been formed and it is promised as an important bridge in promoting the cooperation among 3 sides.
