The ELOs of Bachelor of Public Economics and Management Program 2013

1. Objectives

a. General Objectives

       The program in Public Economics and Management is designed to provide qualified economics graduates with the ability to fulfill their assigned duties, their political qualities, their ethics, their health and their teamwork skills.

       b. Objectives in detail

         Graduates in Public Economics and Management is equipped with basic and deep knowledge in applied economics in the public sector and public sector management; To have knowledge and skills in analyzing, evaluating, planning and organizing the implementation of socio-economic development programs and projects in urban centers and areas in the administrative and non-business sector, production and business services; Ability to study and study at a higher level.

       Graduates also can work in state economic management agencies, public service organizations in the fields of finance, urban management, education, .... In addition, graduates can work for non-governmental organizations and businesses in the economic sector.

2. Learning Outcomes

A.         Knowledge

A1.       Have general knowledge of social and humanities including law, psychology, sociology, environment & people ... and have the capacity to apply knowledge in professional jobs.

A2.       Basic knowledge of economics, business and foreign languages to develop the knowledge of Public Economics and Management and the ability to apply them to macro-economic and micro-economic development.

A3.       Extensive knowledge and expertise in economic and financial management in the public sector; be able to apply economic theories to analyze and evaluate economic activities and forecast changes in the economy.

A4.       To be capable of understanding, analyzing, evaluating, planning and organizing the implementation of socio-economic development programs and projects in urban centers and areas in the administrative and non-business sector,  production, public services.

B5.       Has a TOEIC score of 450;

B6.       Computer literate equivalent to B; proficient in software applications in the specialized training.

B7.       Ability to use statistical tools, techniques of quantitative analysis of the economy & public management in the practical operation.

B8.       Presentation skills, presentation of ideas; reporting skills, setting up, project protection and project appraisal;

B9.       Have teamwork skills and ability to solve problems independently;

B10.     Be able to participate in analysis and policy making activities for state management agencies.

B11.     Ability to organize, manage and operate activities at the working places.

C. Attitude

C1.       Have good moral qualities; Strictly abide by the lines and policies of the Party and the State; the regulations at the working places.

C2.       A sense of civic responsibility; have proper professional attitude and ethics; have a sense of discipline and industrial style;

C3.       Patriotism and tolerance for language and cultural differences in communication.

C4.       Have a sense of progress, overcome difficulties; have a high sense of responsibility in the work and service of the community.
